Waukesha Bearings Acquires Inpro/Seal Company
Waukesha Bearings has acquired Inpro/Seal Co., a Rock Island, Illinois, U.S.A., designer and manufacturer of bearing isolator technologies. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition of Inpro/Seal adds a product line to Pewaukee-based Waukesha Bearing’s offerings for the oil-and-gas and power generation markets.
“Inpro/Seal is an excellent fit with Waukesha,” said William Spurgeon, president and CEO of Dover Fluid Management, a unit of New York City-based Dover Corp. (NYSE: DOV), under which Waukesha Bearings operates. “The acquisition of the market leader in engineered bearing isolators is consistent with Dover’s strategy of pursuing bolt-on companies with long-term growth potential. Inpro/Seal’s market position and commitment to innovation make it a great addition to Waukesha Bearings and to our energy platform,” Spurgeon said.
Founded in 1946, Waukesha Bearings has been an operating company under Dover’s ownership since 1977. The company, which manufactures engineered hydrodynamic and magnetic bearings, has facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Russia, India and Japan
