The DEPA E4 Compound Diaphragm for the air operated diaphragm pump industry has been launched by Crane ChemPharma Flow Solutions, a Crane Co company. The ‘noppedE4′ surface of the DEPA E4 features a uniform sequence of small mounds radiating in a band located medially within the diaphragm and this imparts a level of flexibility to the diaphragm that the company says is more effective than standard rubber diaphragms.

Available in four sizes, ranging from ½ in-2 in, the diaphragm is constructed as a single unit from a combination of PTFE and EDPM. The outer piston, usually a separate component in standard pumps, is entirely encapsulated.
