Siemens Energy has installed the SPPA-T3000 control system at the New Harquahala Generating Station in Tonopah, Arizona, U.S.A. With an output of nearly 1100 MW, the 3×1 combined-cycle power plant provides electricity to the fast-growing Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, area.

The scope of supply included the SPPA-T3000 control system upgrade of the entire plant, including three gas turbines, three steam turbines, six generators, HRSG and balance of plant. Siemens also supplied a product modification package to improve availability and reliability.
