ItN Nanovation AG has signed a major contract to deliver 12 filtration units to 20 mobile wastewater treatment plants in Dubai. The contract is worth approximately €5 million.

The treatment plants are designed to filter wastewater in construction worker camps located in the dry, fast-growing region of Dubai. The plants will convert wastewater to recyclable water for industrial/domestic use – free of suspended substances, germs and bacteria – and therefore look to alleviate the water shortage in the region.

The entire delivery of the plants is expected to be completed by July 2009.
