Grundfos has recently opened a sales company in Kazakhstan, to continue to strengthen its position in Central Asia. This new company will provide support not only to Kazakhstan, but also to neighbouring Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

This move follows a period of extensive sales growth in the area and is part of the longer term strategy that will see more services being delivered closer to where the demand exists.

To mark the opening, Grundfos donated and installed a complete SQFlex system which consists of a water treatment system, pipe-work, solar panels and a wind turbine to supply renewable energy to a school in Shieliysky, a particularly poor region of Kazakhstan.
