Guascor S.A. has specialized for morethan 40 years on the development andmanufacture of reciprocating gas and diesel engines with its own technology for marine propulsion and auxiliary equipment, electric power generation, cogeneration, as well as power plants and containerized modules for power
generation. Moreover, the company has continued to develop engines that operate on biogases from landfill installations, wastewater treatment plants and biodigestions; lean gases from mines and industrial processes; and syngas from gasification processes.

Guascor S.A. applies a strict policy for research, development, training and continuous improvement, which guarantees maximum quality for its products and customer satisfaction. Guascor engines meet the strictest standards on exhaust emissions.

Recent highlights for the company include participating in the development of and powering for the first time, a Spanish oceanographic research and fishing vessel to comply with the demanding ICES requirements for noise radiated into the water from such research vessels.

The company also includes dual-fuel engines for the diesel and natural gas fuels with a natural gas ratio of 70% at 100% and 40% of nominal power, and 80% at 80% and 60% of nominal power.

The dual-fuel engines are based on the diesel SF series engines and can work in either gas or diesel mode. The high-speed engines, rated at 1500 r/min, include the SFDF180TA, SFDF240TA, SFDF180TA and SFDF240TA rated 360, 480, 720 and 960 kWm respectively. All the engines have the nominal output of the pure diesel engines.
