Wartsila wins service contract from Liberty Power Tech

Wartsila, a supplier of flexible power plants and services, has been awarded a five year operations and maintenance (O&M) contract by Liberty Power Tech for its power plant in Pakistan.

As per the agreement, Wartsila will operate, maintain, and supply all labor and spare parts for the Liberty Power Tech plant.

The company said that the O&M agreements is designed to cover all aspects of operating and managing an installation, including O&M planning, day-to-day operation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, administration, human resources and training, technical support, logistics management and security.

The plant will utilize eleven Wartsial 18V46 engines and a steam turbine to produce a total electrical output of 200MWe and is located near the city of Faisalabad.

Liberty Power Tech Ashraf Mukaty said that both the companies have worked together as one team throughout the development of this project, which is now undergoing installation and commissioning
