Caterpillar Marine Power Systems will present a full range of products and services at Marintec China 2009 at stand number 1 A 41 in hall W1. Marintec China is this year’s most important international marine trade show, being held in Shanghai December 1-4. The Caterpillar Marine Power Systems Asia Pacific team, which is joining forces with Cat dealer personnel and the Cat Financial crew, are all looking forward to discussing new business opportunities and to welcoming existing Caterpillar customers.

In 2009, Making Progress Possible will be the key message and recurring theme of the Caterpillar booth. It describes the commitment to continue contributing to world-wide progress by driving positive and sustainable change. At the exhibition, Making Progress Possible will be demonstrated by showcasing latest advancements achieved in technology, global customer support solutions and finance and insurance packages offered by Cat Financial.

Following its successful 2007 presence which initiated a great deal of business, Caterpillar will again demonstrate the superior value of the comprehensive Cat and MaK marine diesel engine product line. MaK Asia distributor representatives will be on the stand to discuss innovative MaK technologies including Cat Common Rail (CCR), FlexCam Technology (FCT), and DICARE. Subject matter experts on Cat branded engines will provide the latest information on engine technology and emissions compliance, including new Cat Diesel Electric Propulsion (DEP) generator set packages and new Marine Classification Society (MCS) Auxiliary Generator Sets. Along with new marine engine solutions, Cat and MaK genuine spare parts, Free Engine Inspection Program and World-wide Extended Service Coverage (ESC) will be highlighted.

“Marintec China 2009 will provide visitors with a one-stop shop for the whole range of marine related services Caterpillar has to offer for the global Cargo, Tug & Salvage, Offshore and Dredge segments,” said Florian Gruber, Global Sales Director. “Our teams for MaK and Cat branded marine products will form a four-day centre of expertise on Caterpillar Marine Power, and we are very much looking forward to meeting customers and discussing prospects at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.”
