Cameron has received an US$86 million order for 16 multiphase pumping systems

Cameron has received an US$86 million order for 16 multiphase pumping systems, including Leistritz pumps, to be installed on three offshore platforms in the KuMaloobZaap field in the Gulf of Mexico.

Cameron will provide design engineering and packaging for the systems, which will include pumps, electric motors, piping, valves and control systems. The multiphase pumps will be supplied by Leistritz, a long-time partner in subsea applications with Cameron’s Subsea Systems group, and will be manufactured in Germany.

The multiphase pumping systems are designed to boost pipeline delivery pressure and increase crude oil production rates. Delivery and installation of the systems are expected to take place in 2011.
