Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd has developed and is now marketing a heat recovery type water to water centrifugal heat pump which enables the continuous supply of 80°C hot water.

The ETW pump, which is suitable for production process in factories, utilizes waste heat exhausted from the factories themselves. Operated by electric power, the ETW pump does not require fossil fuels and, according to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, is capable of reducing CO2 emissions by more than 70%. At the same time, the system’s energy-saving features help to cut operational costs.
