Canada’s Biorem Inc is to supply a biofiltration system to remove volatile organic compounds (VOC) and odorous emissions at a municipal organics processing facility in Southern Ontario under a contract worth C$3.4 million.

The Biorem system will treat approximately 155 000 cubic meters of complex contaminated air sources per hour and has been specifically designed to bring emissions at the processing facility to a level that will meet Ontario Ministry of the Environment odour guidelines.

“Developing air emission control systems for facilities utilizing sustainable processes has created an important source of revenue for Biorem,” said Peter Bruijns, president and CEO of Biorem.
